Rugged does not mean indestructible. The Active5 survives drops that would end other tablets, but a hard corner hit on concrete, or a fall without the protective case fitted, can still crack the 8 inch display.

On a device that earns money every day, the real cost is downtime. We fit the original Samsung panel for the SM-X306B so the tablet goes back to work with factory touch response and its 120Hz refresh rate intact. Part and fitting are included in the price shown.

Common questions

Will the tablet still be as tough after the screen is replaced?

We fit the original Samsung screen made for the Active5, the same part the tablet was built with, and trained technicians fit it to Samsung's procedure. Keep using the protective case afterwards. Most of the cracked Active5 screens we see were dropped while the case was off.

The tablet belongs to my employer. Can you still repair it?

Yes, a large share of the Active5 units we see are business tools. Get the owner's go-ahead before booking if it is company property. The repair itself is the same either way: the original Samsung panel for the SM-X306B, fitted at an authorised Samsung service centre.

Does the replacement screen work with the S Pen like the original?

Yes. Because it is the original Samsung panel for the SM-X306B, everything the factory screen supported carries over, including S Pen input and the touch behaviour you are used to. That is the main reason we avoid generic panels. On a work device, odd touch behaviour costs you time.
