On the A30s the USB-C port sits on a sub-board, which is good news. Instead of soldering a new socket onto the main board, we replace the whole sub-board with an original Samsung part.

Common questions
Could it just be dirt in the port?
Sometimes. Pocket lint packs into the bottom of the socket and stops the cable seating properly. We check and clean the port first. If the pins are worn or bent, cleaning will not fix it and we replace the sub-board with the original Samsung part instead.
Is the whole phone opened up for this repair?
Yes. The phone is opened and the old sub-board comes out with the port attached. Our technicians handle this model regularly and the replacement is an original Samsung board made for the SM-A307F. Fitting by a trained technician is included in the price shown.
My A30s charges very slowly. Is that the port?
It can be. Worn pins make poor contact and slow the charge right down. It can also be the cable, the adapter or a battery near the end of its life. We test the phone with known good chargers first, so you only pay for the repair it actually needs.
