The A05 charges through a USB-C port, and that port takes a plug thousands of times a year. Lint, worn contacts and bent pins are how it fails, usually gradually, starting with the cable needing a wiggle.
We replace the complete original Samsung sub-board for the SM-A055 rather than trying to rescue the old connector. The repair is done in our Umhlanga workshop and the fitting is included in the price.

Common questions
My A05 stopped fast charging. Can that be the port?
Yes. Fast charging needs a clean, solid connection on all the pins, so a worn or dirty port often drops the phone to slow charging before it stops charging at all. We check the port, cable and charger together, and if the connector is worn the sub-board replacement brings fast charging back.
Why did my USB-C port wear out so quickly?
USB-C is sturdy, but no connector survives lint. Every insertion compacts pocket fluff deeper into the port until the plug cannot seat, and pulling the cable out at an angle bends the contacts over time. It is mechanical wear, and the sub-board replacement resets it completely.
The phone only charges when it is switched off. What is that?
Usually a struggling connection or a very worn battery. A poor port contact may deliver too little current to charge while the phone is running, but just enough when everything is off. We test the port and the battery together and tell you which one is behind it.
