If your S21 only charges when the cable is held just so, the USB-C port is telling you something. Ports fail from lint packed into the socket, worn contacts and bent pins, all of it normal wear from years of plugging in daily.
The fix is a new original Samsung sub-board, the small board the port sits on. We fit it in-house and the price shown covers the board and the labour.
Signs you need this repair
- Only charges when the cable is wedged at an angle
- Slow charging warning with the original charger
- Connector feels loose in the port
- No charging sound when you plug in

Common questions
Is it the cable, the charger or the phone?
Test your cable and charger on another phone first. If they work fine elsewhere and the S21 still misbehaves, the port is the likely fault. When you bring it in we confirm this with our own known-good chargers before replacing anything, so you never pay for the wrong repair.
Can a dirty port cause this?
Very often, yes. Lint from pockets compresses at the bottom of the port and stops the plug clicking home. We inspect and clean the port first. If the contacts underneath are worn or the pins are bent, cleaning will not fix it and we replace the sub-board.
Does the repair affect anything else on the phone?
The sub-board also carries the S21's primary microphone, so if callers have been struggling to hear you along with the charging trouble, one repair can resolve both. We test charging, data transfer and the microphone before the phone goes back to you.
