An S24 Ultra does a lot through its USB-C port. 45W charging, DeX desktops, file transfers, Android Auto. When the port wears out, all of it gets unreliable at once, and no cable in the house seems to fix it.

The connector is mounted on a sub-board that we replace with the original Samsung part for the SM-S928B. The motherboard is not touched and your data stays put. Part and fitting are included in the price shown.

Signs you need this repair

  • 45W charging dropped to regular slow charging
  • DeX flickers or disconnects at the slightest bump

Common questions

My Ultra will not fast charge anymore on the 45W charger. Port or charger?

It could be either, so test the charger on another compatible phone if you can. If the charger checks out, worn or dirty port pins are the usual reason, since fast charging needs a clean connection and drops to slow mode when resistance rises. A new original sub-board restores it.

Nothing happens at all when I plug in. Is the phone dead?

Not necessarily. A completely unresponsive port on an otherwise healthy phone is common, especially after liquid exposure or a damaged pin shorting the connection. Try wireless charging. If the phone wakes on a wireless pad, the phone is fine and the port sub-board is the problem, which is a contained repair.

Is liquid damage in the port repairable?

Often, if it stayed at the port. Liquid corrodes the connector pins first, and replacing the sub-board deals with that. We also inspect further in for spread, because corrosion that reaches the main board is a different conversation. Bring it in soon, since corrosion keeps spreading the longer it sits.
